Studying with Angelo Zanin, he obtained his bachelor\u2019s degree at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice, and recently graduated at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. He took part in masterclasses and has played with renowned cellists such as Antonio Meneses, Giovanni Sollima, Mario Brunello, Guy Johnson, David Geringas, Asier Polo, Giovanni Gnocchi and Stefano Cerrato.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pietro often performed as principal cello at Venice\u2019s opera house La Fenice opera house, Venice, where he also performed chamber music and recitals.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2021, Pietro has served as principal cellist of European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), performing in prestigious halls across Europe and collaborating with such soloists as Alban Gerhardt, Nicolas Altstaedt, Renaud Capu\u00e7on and Julia Fischer, and conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Antonio Pappano and Iv\u00e1n Fischer.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With pianist Tommaso Boggian he forms the Duo del Giglio, which has performed throughout Italy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PIETRO SILVESTRI, CELLO Pietro Silvestri started playing the cello at the age of five.
